In-house Claims Service:
Mooney Insurance Agency Ltd. has a person on staff who is designated to handle
all claims related incidents. Clients who have loss or accident claims to file
are directed to our "claims department where they will be helped through the
claims process. Loss reports are prepared and processed through the appropriate
insurance company(s). |

We will also give advice on the effects of a claim on your
policy premium, answer any other questions you may have and act as a liaison
between you, your claims adjuster and the third party and his/her insurance
company. |

What To Do if an Accident
Occurs: Dos:
- Call for medical assistance if there are
injuries.
- Exchange driver and vehicle owner
information immediately, obtaining names, addresses and phone
numbers.
- Exchange insurance information. Note the
year, make and model of the vehicle, name of the insurance company, insurance
policy number and name of the insured owner which is on the pink
card.
- Obtain witness names, addresses and phone
numbers.
- Note the time of the accident, the
location and the weather and road conditions.
- If the damages are more than $1,000 the
police must be notified and a police report prepared.
- Notify your insurance agent as soon as
possible.
Don'ts:
- Do not leave the scene of an accident
unless it is to obtain medical assistance.
- Do not admit fault. Your insurance
company will make that decision.
- Do not allow the vehicle to be towed
without a clear understanding of fees and services offered by the
operator.
- Do not have any repairs done on the
vehicle, other than to prevent further damage, unless authorized by your
adjuster.
